Reflecting on Childhood Communication
“Respected sir, I beg to state that i am suffering from fever since last night So, I was not able to attend the school…”
Begging to state to a senior got embedded in my mind as “OK” as I learnt this type of letter writing from standard 6 in the school.
That way of communication continued in life as I met very senior managers in office and almost became a way of life when interacting with Senior customers.
Being almost sorry and apologetic is not necessary just to initiate something.
A nice perspective below in the link that came up on LinkedIn news story.
What’s your “beg to state” story that you have carried unconsciously as “OK” from childhood?
